Tourists have been left feeling disappointed as popular tourist attractions such as the Eiffel Tower and Louvre have shut early due to extreme heat.
France and much of Europe are facing a deadly heatwave, with extreme temperatures disrupting daily life and forcing school closures and train cancellations.
Some of the world's most visited tourist attractions are also taking precautionary measures. In Paris, the Eiffel Tower closed early because of the heat, leaving some visitors disappointed.
American tourist Tamara Dancer said she had booked tickets two months in advance, only to see her visit cancelled at the last minute.
Other tourists said the heat would not stop them from enjoying the French capital.
"We're not letting it stop us. We still have to see all the sights," said visitors Carlene and Carol from California.
