These 10 airlines have the best in-flight wifi – and only one is European

In-flight wifi is incredibly divisive. Some love being able to scroll on TikTok while zooming through the sky at 35,000ft in a metal can – others hate that one of the few spaces where you can actually log off has been taken from us.

Wherever you stand on the debate, we think you can agree that the only thing worse than no wifi is bad wifi.

Luckily for us, Skytrax has just revealed its ranking of the top 10 airlines with the world’s best in-flight wifi, meaning you’ll never have to worry about being offline again if you choose to fly with one of these carriers.

The top spot, unsurprisingly, went to Qatar Airways. The airline was among the first to roll out Starlink, the internet offering that makes use of satellites, offering coverage all over the globe.

Next up is an assortment of US-based airlines: Delta Air Lines (second), United Airlines (third), Alaska Airlines (fourth), jetBlue Airways (fifth) and Hawaiian Airlines (sixth).

Singapore Airlines nabbed seventh place, before the first, and only, entry from Europe: Virgin Atlantic.

The British carrier announced it would be rolling out the amenity in July 2025, with the entire fleet offering Starlink wifi by 2027. Wifi is free for Flying Club members (which is also free to join).

Taiwanese carrier EVA Air took ninth place, with UAE flag carrier Emirates rounding out the top 10.

Skytrax announced the ranking as part of its World Airline Awards, with the category debuting in 2026.

The awards launched in 1999, and are based on airline passenger satisfaction surveys. This year, Singapore Airlines was named the best carrier, followed by Qatar Airways in second place and Cathay Pacific Airways in third.

Turkish Airlines is the highest ranked airline in Europe in fifth, followed by Air France in seventh.
