Alberto Alemanno, EU law expert, believes framing protest as "teenage revolution" deeply misleading, fueling an inaccurate image of "Europe that is destroying itself".
To Alemanno, French protests have not been treated in the media "with due care", beliving that the public authority was "not able to handle, prevent, or mitigate disaster".
France and other European cities have been embroiled in a series of protests, with causes ranging from cost-of-living to rent or the appropriate funding of public school systems.
