At least five people killed in shooting in northern Germany, police say

At least five people were killed in a shooting in the northern German city of Stade, police said on Monday.

One person had been arrested, a police spokesperson said but did not provide an exact death toll or any further details.

In a post on X, Lüneburg police headquarters urged the public to avoid the area.
