Curaçao, the Dutch Caribbean island and the smallest country ever to compete at the World Cup, on Sunday scored its first-ever FIFA World Cup goal, equalising against Germany in the 23rd minute of the first half.

The island nation of 150,000 people is currently slugging it outagainst four-time champion Germany in the Group E football match being played in Houston.

The goal came following a Curaçao attack: a shot which deflected off a Germany defender and past the helpless Manuel Neuer.

The Curaçao fans inside Houston Stadium have gone absolutely wild!
