Europe Today: Tensions high in the Middle East as Trump vows 20% Hormuz shipping fee
The tensions in the Persian Gulf remain high. US President Trump said the United States would take over the Strait of Hormuz and charge a fee of 20% for all cargo shipped through the waterway. Earlier, Trump declared the strait will remain open, “with or without Iran”.
