Madrid’s Nobu Hotel to open in September with three-storey restaurant from famed Japanese chef

Spain’s luxury hotel scene is set for a major addition this September with the grand opening of Nobu Hotel Madrid. Opening ahead of the Formula 1 weekend, the design-led stay promises skyline views, signature Chef Nobu Matsuhisa dishes and a prime location in the capital.
Are you eyeing a trip to the Spanish capital soon, or looking ahead to the Formula 1 Tag Heuer Gran Premio de España debut in September? Either way, why not stay in style at Spain’s fifth Nobu Hotel.
Already taking reservations for stays beginning 1 September, Nobu Hotel Madrid will offer 50 design-led rooms and suites across 10 accommodation categories.
Options range from superior rooms, which blend Japanese minimal design with the warmth and character of Madrid, to premium rooms that overlook the city.
Visitors looking to splash out can choose from the zen suite with floor-to-ceiling windows, bringing the energy of the capital indoors or, at the very top end, the Nobu suite. The latter retreat includes a large, private terrace, two bedrooms, and an open-plan living and dining space.
A night’s sleep at the luxury hotel currently starts at €660, including breakfast and a €100 dining and beverage credit on bookings made before 30 September.
Visitors will enjoy all-day access to the Nobu menu from the comfort of their guestroom or suite. However, those staying at the Nobu, Yugi or Hikari suites will receive priority reservations at Nobu Restaurant.
Anchoring the hotel is the tri-level Nobu eatery marking the acclaimed brand’s debut in the Spanish capital. The ground floor will house a relaxed lounge, while the first floor will feature a show kitchen and sleek dining room.
The restaurant will serve up chef Nobu Matsuhisa's classic Japanese-Peruvian inspired dishes, such as black cod miso, rock shrimp tempura and yellowtail sashimi.
Upstairs, the third level will be dedicated to an intimate eight-seat sushi bar. And above all, the Nobu Rooftop will boast a bird's eye view of the city's skyline alongside a luxurious setting where guests can also enjoy signature Nobu cuisine.
The luxury residence is set to open in Las Cortes – one of Spain’s most cultural and dynamic districts. Located between Plaza de Cibeles and the bustling Puerta del Sol, Nobu Hotel will be a stone’s throw away from major sites such as the nine-metre tall equestrian statue of Charles III and Kilometre Zero, where all radial roads lead out of the capital.
“The opening of Nobu Hotel Madrid marks a significant milestone for Nobu globally, and especially in Spain, joining our portfolio of properties in San Sebastián, Barcelona, Marbella and Ibiza,” said Natasha Hargan, General Manager.
“Located in the heart of Madrid, the hotel will serve as an urban sanctuary, where distinctive design, world-class Nobu cuisine, exceptional service, and a deep connection to the city’s culture come together to create a vibrant destination for both guests and the local community.”
Beyond a place to stay and dine, Nobu Hotel Madrid will also feature a dedicated wellness area and state-of-the-art Technogym fitness centre.
