From the Moon's far side to a backyard smart telescope. Here are the stunning images of NASA's Artemis II Mission from Earth.
While the historic Artemis II mission sent back some of the most striking images of the other side of the Moon, amateur stargazers also captured the moment from Earth.
Using a smart telescope from New Zealand and Australia, the enthusiast astrologers captured the Orion spacecraft zipping past stars at lightning speeds.
NASA sent four astronauts on a mission around the Moon on 1 April for the first time in over 50 years. The 10-day voyage set a new record distance for humans in space.
The mission represents a crucial step toward NASA's broader Artemis programme, which aims to return astronauts to the lunar surface and, for the first time, explore the Moon's south pole.
One of the most striking images sent from space was a solar eclipse viewed from lunar orbit.
But amateur astrologers on Earth also captured the speed at which the spacecraft travels with the Odyssey Pro smart telescope from the French company Unistellar.
