The Riyadh airport was attacked once again on Saturday, in what is reported to be a missile strike by Yemen’s Houthis, according to a diplomatic source.

"Dozens of people were injured, most of them Saudi nationals," a source at a hospital in the Saudi capital said, adding that at least five of the injured were treated in an intensive care unit.

The attack comes two days after three people were killed in attacks on Riyadh's international airport on Thursday.

While Saudi authorities have not confirmed a new attack or evacuation of the airport, several witnesses said people at Riyadh's international airport were being evacuated on Saturday, as officials called on passengers to check their flight status.

One witness reported hearing an explosion while waiting to board, while another witness said they saw a strike that had wounded people.

"I was on gate 403" at the domestic terminal, one witness said. "I saw 401 hit, I saw injured in front of my eyes. Everyone was running."

The Canadian, German and Spanish embassies in Saudi Arabia warned citizens to avoid the airpot following reports of the latest attack.

Meanwhile, Kuwait Airways said it cancelled two flights in and out of the Saudi capital.

"Kuwait Airways announces that flight KU775 from Kuwait to Riyadh and flight KU776 from Riyadh to Kuwait have been cancelled today, Saturday, October 10, 2026, due to the closure of the airport as a result of the security situation," read the statement posted online".
