Berlin marks three years since the Hamas October 7 attacks with a memorial at Brandenburg Gate, amid renewed fears over rising antisemitism in Germany.
Berlin's Brandenburg Gate is illuminated in the colours of the Israeli flag as photos of victims are displayed at an installation marking three years since Hamas' October 7 attacks on Israel.
The event comes amid renewed concerns over rising antisemitism across Germany.
Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters, including climate activist Greta Thunberg, march through Kreuzberg and Neukölln, chanting slogans including 'Free Palestine'.
The 2023 Hamas-led attack killed 1,221 people in Israel. Israel's subsequent offensive in Gaza has killed more than 74,200 people, according to the territory's Hamas-run health ministry, whose figures are considered reliable by the United Nations.
