OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, will open an office in the Spanish capital as part of its European expansion strategy and with the aim of strengthening its collaboration with businesses, developers and institutions in the country.
The company believes that Spain has established itself as one of the most dynamic technology and artificial intelligence ecosystems in Europe, with a growing number of firms incorporating AI tools into their processes and services.
The new base will allow OpenAI to work more closely with Spanish companies, public authorities, research centres and developers using its artificial intelligence models. The firm has already followed a similar strategy in other European countries, where it has opened offices to drive the adoption of its technologies and bolster its regional presence.
